This Yellow Belly Goniopora is "WYSIWYG" - What you see is what you get - so this one is yours!
Goniopora and Alveopora are stony corals that have long flowing polyps, although there are a few shorter tentacle Goniopora varieties. They are magnificently showy in a reef aquarium with their polyps swaying in moderate flow. They like low-moderate lighting and occur in a fascinating variety of colors! Alveopora are generally considered easier to keep than Goniopora, but both can be equally hardy if a healthy specimen is picked. Look for full tentacle extension and no exposed skeleton around the edges. These corals can have a tiny stony skeleton, but appear many times larger when their tentacles are fully extended. Supplemental feeding can be tricky, but small live foods are best. Goniopora and Alveopora add a very different dimension to a reef aquarium and are highly prized corals. Collectors love obtaining a diversity of colors.
