Ultra Australian Lobophyllia

Size: 1.5 inch

This Ultra Australian Lobophyllia is  "WYSIWYG" - What you see is what you get - so this one is yours!

Lobophyllia corals (often called “lobo” corals) are large-polyp stony (LPS) corals known for their fleshy, brain-like appearance and vibrant colors, including reds, greens, and multicolored patterns. Their thick, fleshy polyps and ridged surface make them a standout centerpiece in reef aquariums, and they extend feeding tentacles at night, giving them a dynamic look.

For care, Lobophyllia prefer low to moderate lighting and gentle to moderate, indirect water flow to avoid tissue damage. They require stable water conditions (temperature ~76–80°F, salinity ~1.025, alkalinity 8–9 dKH, calcium 400–450 ppm, magnesium 1250–1350 ppm) and can be sensitive to sudden changes. While they rely on photosynthesis, they benefit greatly from regular feeding of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp or reef blends, especially at night when their feeding tentacles are extended. Give them plenty of space, as they can extend sweeper tentacles and sting nearby corals.
