This Scrambled Eggs Favites is "WYSIWYG" - What you see is what you get - so this one is yours! This is grown on our farm and is a Dr. Mac Stash coral. We have a wide variety of corals all grown in our facility.
Favites corals are large-polyp stony (LPS) corals often referred to as “honeycomb” or “closed brain” corals due to their tightly packed, shared-wall corallites and dome-like growth. They come in a variety of vibrant colors and patterns, including greens, reds, and oranges with contrasting centers, making them a striking addition to reef aquariums. Favites are generally hardy and adaptable, which makes them a good choice for both beginner and intermediate reef keepers.
For care, Favites prefer low to moderate lighting and gentle to moderate, indirect water flow to keep their fleshy tissue expanded without stress. They thrive in stable water conditions (temperature ~76–80°F, salinity ~1.025, alkalinity 8–9 dKH, calcium 400–450 ppm, magnesium 1250–1350 ppm) and can tolerate a range of conditions if consistency is maintained. They can be somewhat aggressive, extending sweeper tentacles at night, so allow space between them and other corals. While they rely on photosynthesis, they benefit from occasional feedings of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp to support growth and coloration.
