Red-Pink Lobophyllia

Size: 3 inches

This Pink-Red Lobophyllia is "WYSIWYG" - What you see is what you get - so this one is yours!

Lobophyllia and Symphyllia are similar large polyp stony corals meaning the have a hard skeleton and a large fleshy polyp. The top edge of the skeleton has sharp protruding spikes giving them another common name of Tooth Coral. They are hardy corals that do best with low to moderate light levels and just enough flow to prevent detritus accumulation. They do not put out sweeper tentacles, but can be aggressive to other corals that get to close, so leave enough space around them. They are slow growing and occur in a wide variety of shapes and colors, often with very striking combinations.
