There are several types of corals referred generically as plate corals. Among these are Fungia, Cycloseris, and Diaseris. They are often flat or have a slightly mounded shape. They are all hardy and like lower light levels and are placed at the bottom of the tank. Occasional feeding of frozen foods are greedily accepted. Coloration is wide ranging and often with different colored polyps.
