Pink Purple Pocillopora, Pocillopora damicornis or Pocillopora sp., is a branching stony coral known for its compact upright growth, rounded branch tips, and fine polyp extension. This WYSIWYG frag features pink to purple branch tissue with lighter cream-pink highlights and visible polyps across the surface, creating a bright textured look under reef lighting. Pocillopora corals are popular with reef hobbyists because they add branching structure, color, and natural reef texture to established aquariums with stable conditions.

Care Guide: Pocillopora sp. generally does best in moderate to high lighting and moderate to strong indirect water flow. Provide enough turbulent flow to keep the branches clean and support healthy polyp extension, but avoid harsh direct blasting. Place this frag on stable rockwork where it has room to branch outward and upward. Maintain stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, and temperature, as Pocillopora corals can be sensitive to major parameter swings. This coral is photosynthetic and does not require target feeding, though it may benefit from fine particulate coral foods and stable nutrient availability in a mature reef system.
