The Platinum Clownfish is a striking captive-bred designer form of the Percula Clownfish, scientifically known as Amphiprion percula. Platinum Clownfish are characterized by an almost completely white body with orange coloration remaining around the face and portions of the fins. As they mature, they can develop increasingly dark fin margins that contrast dramatically against the pale body.
ORA developed the Platinum Percula through years of selectively breeding its Picasso Clownfish line. Unlike normal Percula Clownfish, which possess three distinct white bands, the Platinum's expanded white patterning typically merges across nearly the entire body.
This listing is for a captive-bred/tank-raised pair maintained at Pacific East Aquaculture in dedicated systems separate from our wild-collected fish. Our captive-bred and tank-raised saltwater fish are carefully observed and maintained under professional husbandry protocols prior to sale, without the routine conditioning and proactive treatment protocols used for wild-collected specimens.
Amphiprion percula is naturally found in the western Pacific, including Queensland, northern New Guinea, New Britain, the Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. Wild Percula Clownfish inhabit lagoon and seaward reefs at depths of approximately 1–15 meters. FishBase documents a maximum total length of 11 cm, approximately 4.3 inches.

Aquarium Requirements:
Provide a stable, established marine aquarium with rockwork for shelter and adequate swimming space. A host anemone is not required for captive-bred Platinum Clownfish to thrive.

Platinum Clownfish generally display the manageable temperament associated with Percula Clownfish. Young fish are typically peaceful, but an established pair may defend its preferred host, spawning site, or section of the aquarium.

Diet and Feeding:
