The Nearly Naked Mocha Clownfish is a captive-bred designer form of the Ocellaris Clownfish, scientifically known as Amphiprion ocellaris. This variety combines the warm brown-orange coloration associated with Mocha-type Ocellaris with greatly reduced white barring, giving each fish a distinctive, minimally patterned appearance.
The pair pictured shows individually variable white markings, with one fish displaying only a partial head bar and the other retaining a head bar plus a reduced central white marking. This variation is typical of designer clownfish selectively bred for unusual pattern expression.
