Serpent starfish are very hardy and excellent scavengers that are active mostly at night or after tank feeding, commonly snaking out a leg or two to grab passing food and pull it back into a crevice or cave they are living in. Like all starfish they should be slowly drip acclimated because they are very sensitive to salinity and water chemistry changes.
