Trachyphyllia are meaty corals that do best under very low blue light and minimal flow. They should be placed on the bottom of your reef and occasionally fed frozen foods. They occur in a very wide range of colors and are very highly sought after. The meaty part of the coral tissue will swell with water many times the size of their skeleton, often to the point of swaying in a gently flow.
