This Glitter Bomb Goniopora is "WYSIWYG" - What you see is what you get - so this one is yours!
Goniopora corals (commonly called flowerpot corals) are large-polyp stony (LPS) corals known for their long, flowing polyps that extend outward in a bouquet-like display, giving them a soft, flower-like appearance. They are often found in vibrant shades of green, red, pink, purple, or bi-color combinations, and their constant movement in the water makes them one of the most eye-catching corals in a reef aquarium. While historically considered difficult to keep, aquacultured varieties have become much more adaptable and are now increasingly popular among hobbyists.
For care, Goniopora prefer moderate lighting and low to moderate, gentle water flow that allows their long polyps to sway without being blasted or collapsing. They require stable water conditions (temperature ~76–80°F, salinity ~1.025, alkalinity 8–9 dKH, calcium 400–450 ppm, magnesium 1250–1350 ppm) and are sensitive to fluctuations, particularly in alkalinity and nutrient levels. Placement should allow room for full polyp extension without contacting other corals. Unlike many LPS, Goniopora benefit greatly from regular feeding of fine particulate foods such as phytoplankton, zooplankton, or specialized coral foods, which can significantly improve health, coloration, and long-term success.
