They thrive in stable water conditions (temperature ~76–80°F, salinity ~1.025, alkalinity 8–9 dKH, calcium 400–450 ppm, magnesium 1250–1350 ppm) and are generally forgiving once established. Place them on rock surfaces where they can encrust and spread, but allow space from neighboring corals, as they can slowly grow over and compete for territory.
