Dr. Mac's Comments:
Gold Coral Banded Shrimp are a nice addition to any reef aquarium. They do not grow as large as the Red and White banded Coral Banded Shrimp. They are excellent scavengers and do well in reef aquariums if they are fed regularly.  Will eat Bristle worms and occasionally act as cleaners.  Additionally, they will eat all types of prepared fish foods.  They can be somewhat aggressive to other shrimp, so do not overcrowd them in smaller tanks. They pick their mate and are mated for life. Even though they are easy to sex they must pick their own mate otherwise it's instant death to another coral banded in their territory.
