This WYSIWYG specimen displays an exceptionally intense blood-orange to fiery orange coloration across nearly the entire oral disc, with slightly lighter orange to golden-orange vesicles around portions of the outer margin. Subtle greenish and pale blue-gray areas show through between some of the vesicles, while the mouth provides a small fluorescent green accent near the center. The dominant saturated orange coloration gives this specimen the dramatic “Blazing Blood Orange” appearance. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRicordea yuma\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e contains symbiotic zooxanthellae that provide much of its nutritional needs through photosynthesis, although it can also capture small suspended foods. This species is primarily photosynthetic but may benefit from occasional feeding with very small meaty or planktonic foods.
